The FX520 features a hybrid control system that combines a joystick control with a touch-screen operation. Basic settings can be directly controlled by the joystick, and others extensive ones are intuitively adjusted by touching or moving a slider on the screen with your finger or an included stylus pen.
A focusing frame opens at the spot you touch on the LCD, and AF/
AE operations begin. Even If the subject which you touched on the
LCD moves, the camera automatically tracks it and readjusts the
focus and exposure.
The FX520's touch screen makes manual control easy too. In Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority and Manual modes, you can set the aperture value, shutter speed, and exposure compensation by simply touching the setting fi elds along the LCD's side and bottom.
Using easy touch-screen operation, you can view up to 30 images
at once with Multi Playback or choose the background music and
slide transitions for the Slideshow function. You can also select any of
a wide variety of playback functions,including Dual-Image, Easy Search and Sort,and Zoom.
This sophisticated 25mm wide-angle lens system features 7
elements in 6 groups, including 4 aspherical lenses and an EA
(Extra High Refractive Index Aspherical) lens. It's also equipped
with a 5x optical zoom. The wide-angle lens lets you capture
